Neighbors for Green Space SAVE the UNM NORTH GOLF COURSE! We remain vigilant in our goal to preserve this historic and cherished green space! The W.P.A.

Thomas Popejoy's vision of a public golf course open to all and excluding none has been maintained for 68 years. The land that became the North Golf Course was secured for $1. provided the labor, and a thousand trees came straight out of neighbors' yards! It has become an urban oasis drawing folks from all over the city and surrounding metro areas, not just golfers, but moms pushing their toddlers

in strollers, kids walking their dogs, joggers, walkers, and world-class athletes in training. It is a refuge for wildlife, and for hot-air balloons seeking a midtown safe landing. It is a treasure worth protecting for generations to come.

Donate to the "North Golf Course Neighborhood Fund"! This urban reforestation effort is part of the joint work of UNM, Bernalillo County, and the North Campus Neighborhood Association to preserve the north golf course as an important green space in the heart of our community.

All donations received through this fund will be used to plant trees and make other improvements to the North Golf...
