Know UR Rights NM is a collaboration of Pegasus Legal Services for Children and Envision New Mexico. The goals of this project are to:
•Engage and educate youth about their rights to access sexual health and mental health care to promote health literacy and increase utilization of key prevention and early intervention services.
•Educate youth ages 14-17 about their rights to consent and confiden
tiality in health and mental health care.
•Recruit healthcare professionals to promote the Know UR Rights NM campaign by handing out materials, posting posters in their offices, and engaging youth about their rights to access health and mental health care.
•Reach youth in rural as well as urban areas.
•Improve health literacy through ensuring that youth understand their rights to access health care services and know where they can access these services.
•Promote School-Based Health Centers as key service points for youth seeking comprehensive and confidential health services.
•Educate health professionals in rural areas about youth rights to access health care
