New Mexico Peace Choir invites you to our concert this weekend, June 13 and 14, 3 pm.
Inspiring. Welcoming. Settling. Energizing. You will feel it!
Someone asked me what my favorite piece is. Though I want to say, “All of them,” because its true, I do have a particular connection to Kia Hora Te Marino, sung in Māori, and Čhanté Wašté Hokšíla, a traditional Lakota lullaby.
Come. Feel. Enjoy. You will hum all the way home, I promise.

We are 10 days away from our concert, Where We Belong. I hope you can attend, either in person or by live-stream. As we enter summer in New Mexico, we also enter monsoon season - heat rising from the earth and water falling from the sky. This is our summer. This is where we belong!

One of the pieces we are presenting is “If You Want to Hold My Hand,” by Kyle Pederson. It speaks to the power of human touch through all phases of our lives. We are befriended, beguiled, blessed, and boldened by the simple act of taking each others’ hands in ours. Beautiful!

Want more song? Can’t wait til June? Come sing with us at SING TOGETHER, a series of community-based singing circles sponsored by New Mexico Peace Choir. We meet every 3rd Tuesday at the International District Public Library on Central Ave NE in Albuquerque. All are welcome. We sing songs that don’t require music and that you can learn learn quickly.

It’s fun and free. It’s also a great way to get to know the choir. We look forward to singing with you!

We are so grateful for our audiences for our Winter concerts last Saturday and Sunday. Saturday was sponsored by the Black Student Union of Cleveland High School in Rio Rancho. What an honor!
Sunday found us back in familiar territory at Central United Methodist Church in Albuquerque.
We hope our program uplifted and encouraged you. We can't thank you enough for braving the winter weather and supporting the song. Until we meet together in late Spring, may you be filled with joy, love, justice, and peace.
