Hi everyone! Its September and we would normally be in planning mode, but once again we have Covid to consider, and large gatherings dont seem like a great idea at this time.

Hello friends of Help Portrait! Normally we’d be in full planning mode for this years event, but because of the close personal nature of our event, we are postponing Help Portrait 2020 until next year.
We will miss seeing all the wonderful faces and volunteers who make it happen so well every year, and all the beautiful families. It touches our lives every time.
If there are Covid safe events that you hear about, feel free to post them here for people to see.
Thanks again and we hope you have a fantastic rest of the year.

Thank you so much to everyone who came out on Wednesday to help with this event. We had 217 families get their photos! Our volunteers were amazing and we soooo appreciate you for all your hard work.

Hi everyone! We are about two weeks away! There are a lot of families registered with Operation Holiday Cheer, and Saranam will be joining us again this year as they have in years past. I sent out a group email today, and we are still looking for more printers/emailers & photographers if you know anyone who'd like to participate this year. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Happy Halloween help Portrait family! December 18th will be here faster than we think, and I wanted to reach out to see who wants to volunteer. We need at least 3 more photographers, 5-10 photo editors, and some staff- 5 more not including the 3 we already have. Food is provided this year for the families and we will do our best to get pizza for lunch for our group. You can reach me at [email protected], or message Laurel Leisher on FB.

Happy rainy Sunday everyone!
We had our first Help Portrait ABQ 2019 meeting today. We are on again this year and we are partnering with Operation Holiday Cheer who are in their 42nd year serving meals & getting gifts to disadvantaged kids and their families. The firefighters on base are a big part of the organizing effort with lots of other help.
The event will be Wednesday Dec. 18 all day. We will see a lot of families (last year it was 350) and a group of seniors.
So, we’ll be in touch with more details soon.
***We want to thank Steven St. John for all his hard work these last few years coordinating the photographers. He is stepping out this year to take care of family, and we are looking for a new photographer coordinator. Please let us know if you are interested. ***
