Hooray for our 2 New Mexico Walkers who each made 2 records🏅at the 2026 NM Senior Olympics🏅 Mandy Owens: Powerwalk, 60-64 age, 5K @ 33:48 and 1500m @ 9:13🤩 Jill Weber: Powerwalk, 70-74 age, 5K @ 35:13 and 1500m @ 9:38😎 The lady on the stand is Anne Nauman, 99 years young and did not finish last nor next to last in the 1500m Powerwalk 🎉 Also, Alex Burr at 95 years powerwalked the 5K @ 64:00 and then did the 1500m the next day! Here are some shining examples for your walking goals🏃🏽‍♀️‍➡️🏃🏽‍♂️‍➡️ ( We have to call these records “unofficial “ because NMSO hasn’t published the 2025 records and we will see if they publish the 2026 records 🤞🏼) Another exemplary NM Walker is Laura Draelos for going the distance to judge both events - Thank You❣️❣️
