Growing Awareness Urban Farm Awareness precedes change Growing Awareness is a non-profit Urban Farm in the heart of Albuquerque.

Our mission is to support our neighbors and enrich our city through sustainable, community-focused projects and micro-businesses. When you visit, you'll likely see kids and neighbors tending the community garden, planting seedlings in the greenhouse, caring for our urban livestock, or making clay pots used for irrigating. Most importantly, we are all becoming aware that another world is possible. Together we are growing a more just and sustainable community.

A seasonal announcement -

GA Urban Farm will have No Plant Sales this Spring.

Since 2009, many of you have relied on starting your spring gardens with our wonderful plants and we are very grateful to all our past customers that have supported our work at ECM and Growing Awareness.

As community housing needs have become a crisis around us, ECM has shifted our capacity on the huge task of creating new housing strategies and solutions on vacant lots and boarded up buildings around the Int. District.

Growing food and Greenspaces are essential to our community and will be integrated into all of our local housing projects, but for this immediate season, we have needed to put everything into building our capacity and expertise in the housing work.

Stay tuned at East Central Ministries to follow our ongoing work in the neighborhood!

Friday is Earth Day! And yes, we are selling plants again this spring, please come visit us at ECM!

We will be open Fridays 12-4 and Saturdays 9-1, April 22 - May 21.

Come to our Urban Farm in the backyard of our main admin building at 123 Vermont, through the coyote fence gate on the north side of the building. We look forward to seeing you again this spring!

Thanks for your support this season everyone! I hope your gardens are growing big and strong!

This is the last weekend we're open for sales. Today and tomorrow: Friday 12-4 and Saturday 9-1 9 (May 21 & 22). We still have tomato, pepper, herb, cucumber, and zucchini plants!

Our hours for plants and olla sales are Fridays from 12pm - 4pm and Saturdays from 9am - 1pm from now through May 15.

123 Vermont St. NE. Please wear a mask, and stay outside and head to the north side of the building, through the coyote fence, to the backyard. We will have plants and ollas set up.

Growing Awareness is still going strong! This is a great year to garden -- we will have lots of tomatoes, peppers, herbs, strawberries, and petunia baskets growing for you! We are currently in the process of figuring out how to safely sell you plants from our location.
