Community Leather & Kink Tent at Sidewinders Pride Block Party - Fri/Sat 12-13 June 2026... informing the broader community about our events, facilities, services. Thanks to Sidewinders for the space, Spectrum/Purgatory for bringing and setting up the tent, and everyone that came out to volunteer to operate the tent. Sharing the tent was SPECTRUMABQ, Purgatory, OnyxHighDesert, and NM-REAL. Thanks for volunteering to TheSkinner, springpersephone, Finnly23, BearMarvin, DaddyBearMike, and the SpectrumABQ crew. Crowds for Friday were great. The crowd for Saturday was immense. Many other vendor and some community groups such as Duke-City-PaH were there.

Join NM REAL, Purgatory, and SpectrumABQ for a hands-on First Aid / CPR / AED Training Class ❤️‍🩹

Learn practical skills to respond to injuries, breathing emergencies, and cardiac events, with a focus on real-world situations our leather, kink, and alternative lifestyle communities may face. Whether you are a top or bottom, knowing what to do in an emergency can save a life or speed up recovery. This class will give you basics as well as specific information for injuries and illness that might come up during a scene.

Arrive by 1230 pm, class starts at 1 pm, done by 4 pm. Please eat before this event and bring your favorite non-alcoholic drink to sustain you through the class. Water and light snacks will be available.

This class supports our mission of respect, ethics, and acceptance by centering consent, body autonomy, and safety. No prior experience needed—just a willingness to learn and help keep our community safer. 🩺 This class results in a certificate and 2-year certification in these skills. This certification is valid for most employment, meets OSHA guidelines, and can be added to a resume. Cost of class pays for your certificate (Holistic Life Training) and benefits further education by NM-REAL, Inc.

Your instructor is Finnly, who is a certified trainer and has been teaching this class for about three years.

Cost is $30. No refunds. 18+ event. Must show ID. Tickets are transferrable by contacting NM-REAL, Inc. Very limited space - Limited to about 20.

Educator: Master Stan and slavegirl laura

Master/Daddy Stan and slavegirl laura, along with kathryn, lead AEL (Alternative Erotic Lifestyles), the longest running kink organization in New Mexico. Sir & slave have been together for the better part of a decade, in which they've taught a variety of classes such as fireplay, ta**ra, flogging, rope, leather history, and more. Master/Daddy Stan is the recipient of the Rio Grande Leather Community Service Award, and the 2010 Pantheon of Leather Rocky Mountain Region Award.

Class: The Art of Erotic Flogging

Have you ever wanted to learn the art of flogging? Are you interested in taking your existing skills up to the next level? This interactive workshop offers something for everyone from the novice to the most experienced player, and covers safety, basic skills, and how to apply those to complicated techniques such as Florentine. Since this is a hands-on class, be sure to bring a partner and at least one, but preferably two, floggers. You can come alone and partner up with others in the class. If you don't have floggers, various types are available from our vendors.
