🚒 35 Years of Service — Congratulations on Your Retirement, Captain Jared Bottinelli! 👏

Albuquerque Area Fire Fighters IAFF Local 244 proudly congratulates Captain Jared Bottinelli on completing his final shift with Albuquerque Fire Rescue after an incredible 35 years of dedicated service!

Jared began his career in 1991 as a member of the 51st Cadet Class, dedicating more than three decades to protecting the people of Albuquerque and serving alongside his brothers and sisters in the fire service.

Throughout his career, Captain Bottinelli became known for his extensive knowledge and expertise in hazardous materials response, serving as Captain of Hazmat Squad 3. His steady leadership, professionalism, and experience made him an invaluable asset to his crews and the department.

Beyond his technical expertise, Jared leaves behind a legacy of mentorship, dedication, and the kind of leadership that makes everyone around him better.

As a respected member of IAFF Local 244, Captain Bottinelli's contributions to our union, department, and community will not be forgotten.

Jared, thank you for 35 years of commitment, sacrifice, and service. We wish you and your family health, happiness, and many well-deserved adventures in this next chapter.

⛳ SWING FOR SURVIVORS⛳

We had our 13th Annual Charity Golf Tournament🥳🤩

This annual charity event brings together firefighters, supporters, and community members for a fun-filled day of golf, prizes, and purpose—all in support of the IAFF Local 244 Survivors Fund , which provides vital assistance to the families of fallen and critically injured firefighters. Since 2012, the Survivors Fund has distributed over $175,000 to help our members and their families during times of crisis.

The Muscular Dystrophy Association made the call and we answered.
If you can, give anything for the kids of New Mexico it’s much appreciated.
MDA fundraiser closes Monday, October 19 at midnight. Firefighters have stood with MDA for decades, and every dollar helps kids with muscular dystrophy here in New Mexico get to camp and closer to real treatments.

Swing for Survivors is a Charity Golf Tournament for IAFF Local 244 Survivors Fund, which provides vital assistance to the families of fallen and critically injured firefighters. Since 2012, the Survivors Fund has distributed over $175,000 to help our members and their families during times of crisis—allowing them to focus on care and recovery rather than financial hardship.

We want to send a huge thank you to all of our sponsors, who continue to help us be able to raise funds for this amazing charity. We appreciate your contributions and are grateful for your support. As always we had a blast, until next year!
