Brothers & Sisters, family, friends and community members,

Thanks so much for your ongoing support of Eli, his dad Brother Martin Salazar, and their whole family. After a little over three weeks, Eli is now out of the ICU and on a regular floor at UNMH! He’s eating, talking, and slowly regaining feeling and use where he’d up till now had deficits. He still has a long road ahead but is receiving the best care and is surrounded by family, friends, and the support of your efforts and prayers!

Martin and the family hope that Eli can transfer up to an intensive rehabilitation facility in Denver next month. Around the same time, on June 10th, Brother Zack Nichols has planned a fundraiser at Hops & Dough (6361 Riverside Plaza Ln, Albuquerque, NM 87120). A portion of all sales from that day will go to help towards medical and transportation expenses. mark your calendars now and spread the word!

See attached flyer and thanks again for showing up for one and other in a time of need. Stay safe!

Please join us in congratulating Battalion Chief Pete Jarmosevich on his recent retirement from Albuquerque Fire Rescue.

Over the course of a distinguished 20-year career, Chief Jarmosevich served the citizens of Albuquerque at every rank within our union, providing steady leadership, professionalism, and experience in an often demanding and unpredictable environment. His commitment to the job, his crews, and the community helped shape the department and those who had the privilege of serving alongside him.

We thank Pete and his family for the sacrifices they have made throughout his career and for their unwavering support of the fire service. We wish them health, happiness, and many blessings as they begin this well-deserved next chapter.

Godspeed, brother.

Please join us in congratulating Captain Lloyd Rantanan on his retirement after nearly 40 years of dedicated service to the Albuquerque Fire Department.

A quiet, steady leader, Lloyd was someone crews could depend on in every assignment. Finishing his career at Station 20, he leaves behind a lasting legacy — one that continues through his son now serving within the ranks of AFR.

We thank Captain Rantanan for a career built on professionalism, reliability, and service to the community.

Wishing Lloyd and his family health, happiness, and a well-earned next chapter.
Godspeed, brother.
