A powerful evening of conversation and reflection as we continued the World Affairs Council of Albuquerque’s 77th Program Year. 🌎
For our second meeting, we welcomed John Ramming Chappell for “Crashing Through the Guardrails: Accountability and Atrocity in 2026.”
Chappell discussed the use of explosive weapons, including cluster bombs, and the devastating impact they can have on civilians and children. He also spoke about Sudan’s ongoing civil war, the humanitarian consequences of the conflict, and the role of the United States.
The conversation brought important questions about international law, civilian protection, accountability, and the responsibilities of governments into focus.
Thank you to John Ramming Chappell, our students, their mentors, and everyone who joined us for this important discussion!
