Did you know that May is also Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month?
We want to recognize the Nguyen/Woolcott family for playing tennis and being active USTA members in the NNM tennis community! A huge shoutout to Jen, Chris, Nova, & Ethan, Kim, Phuong, Bruce, Kaden, Nathan, & Max, Tim, & Nettie!
Jen joined the West Mesa High School tennis team and brought her twin sister, Nettie, and brother, Tim along for the ride. After high school, they all took off playing for about 16 years. They got back into playing when they joined USTA NNM Leagues. Sadly, their sister, Han, passed away from cancer. At this time is when their sister and brother-in-law, Kim and Phuong, started playing tennis too.
Not only do these siblings play tennis, but all of the nieces and nephews do as well! As a tradition, they hit the courts on holidays, which includes Jen's husband, Chris. The family also travels to recreational tournaments across the globe. Jen, Kim, and Phuong also captain numerous teams throughout the year. To say this family LOVES tennis is an understatement!
Our NNM tennis community is small but mighty. They rallied together and helped raise funds for Han's medical bills (Go Team Han). In return, the Nguyen/Woolcott family contributes and supports other causes close to their hearts (Rally in the Alley, Serve It Up For Life, T.E.A.M, along with the Lobos Men's and Women's teams).
Thank you for your continued support to grow the game of tennis!
