It was a busy weekend at Sierra Vista this past weekend! The City of Albuquerque Parks & Recreation held the Grand Re-Opening of the newly resurfaced courts at Sierra Vista. Players participated in a one-point tournament benefitting NNM Middle School Tennis and a ceremony was held to officially play on the new courts. During the ceremony, Parks & Recreation Director Dave Simon unveiled the new court name for Court 2: The Joe Felice Court.

Along with these events, Joe Felice also ran the 30th Year of the Sierra Vista Grand Prix Doubles tournament! With a record 160 players, the courts were filled throughout the weekend with competitive matches. Along with playing, a raffle was held with many sponsorships and donations from local businesses. Thank you to those who participated in this tournament!

A bigger thank you to Joe Felice AND Mitzi Felice! You have both been a staple in our NNM Tennis Community for many years. We thank you for your hard work and dedication to continue to grow the game! See you on the courts!
