National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children “Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.” (Matthew 5:4)

“On the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children, we visit the burial places where a tiny fraction of the unborn victims of abortion have been laid to rest, and mourn for them,” stated Tara Shaver of Abortion Free New Mexico.

Sandia Memory Gardens in Albuquerque, New Mexico is the only location in the state where aborted babies are buried.

In addition, Abortion Free New Mexico has provided multiple memorial headstones for local babies lost to abortion and miscarriage at the same location.

According to Bud Shaver, “Three billboards (two digital and one static) have been strategically placed along two separate major roadways in Texas toward New Mexico to reach women traveling for abortions … Tragically, the vast majority of the out of state abortions being obtained in New Mexico are [performed] on women from Texas who are evading their states’ pro-life laws.”

Three Reasons We Stand for Life:

1. To Be a Voice for the Voiceless - Praying at abortion clinics is an act of advocacy for unborn babies who have no voice of their own.
Proverbs 31:8-9 says, "Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy."

To Show Christ’s Love and Call for Repentance – Prayer invites God’s healing and calls those involved—mothers, fathers, abortion workers, and leaders—to repentance and restoration.
2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land."

To Overcome Darkness with Light – Abortion is a spiritual battle, and prayer is a way to stand against the darkness, inviting God’s light and truth to transform hearts and minds.
Ephesians 6:12 reminds us, "For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms."
