What a wonderful week at the 2026 New Mexico State Fair!
The SCCV Therapy Dogs had such a fun time being part of the Fair. One of our favorite things is watching people’s faces light up when they see our dogs. Those smiles, happy greetings, and conversations make every visit special. We also love hearing stories about the beloved pets who have touched people’s lives over the years.
This year, 19 SCCV teams helped cover 8 mornings and evenings, with some teams coming out more than once. That’s a whole lot of wagging tails, happy people, and wonderful memories!
The Fair is always a busy time for our teams because, in addition to the Fair, we continue our regular weekly therapy visits. So now our dogs are home catching up on some well-earned rest—and, honestly, their handlers are pretty happy to be resting too!
A huge thank you to the New Mexico State Fair for inviting SCCV Therapy Dogs to be part of this special event. It is always an honor and a privilege to bring our dogs, share some joy, and be part of the Fair family.
And keep your eyes open—you might just spot the NM State Fair Spectacular Strolling Act somewhere around town during the year! If you don’t see us, don’t worry… we’ll see YOU next year at the 2027 New Mexico State Fair!
