"Touch A Truck" This Saturday
Bring the whole family out to the 5th annual Touch A Truck event this Saturday, June 6. This free, family-friendly gathering invites children and adults to get up-close and personal with the massive equipment and vehicles that keep Albuquerque and Bernalillo County running. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to climb aboard a front-end loader, explore a dump truck, and see the impressive runway snow blowers from the Albuquerque Sunport. The event also features law enforcement robots, Kirtland AFB drone operators, and the District 9 brush truck funded for Albuquerque Fire Rescue. Come out from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at Franklin Plaza, Central and Juan Tabo NE. For more information, visit:

Tijeras Arroyo Cleanup
The City of Albuquerque's Open Space Division will host a volunteer cleanup day at the Singing Arrow / Tijeras Arroyo area on Saturday, March 7, starting at 9 a.m.

The group will meet on the north side of the Tijeras Arroyo, at the bottom of the access road off the west side of Four Hills Road, south of Rachel Road. See the blue dot in the graphic below:

Open Space will provide the tools and trash bags, but please bring water, sunscreen, gloves, and wear closed-toe shoes and dress appropriately for working outdoors. The current forecast for Saturday is mostly sunny, starting out in the upper 30’s and highs in the low 60’s. If you'd like to join, please RSVP to Jim Sattler at 505-768-4213 so they can be sure to bring enough tools.
