🚨Help Us Save This Mama & Her 5 Puppies🚨

$170/$500 RAISED

We said yes to helping this sweet mama and her five puppies, but now we need your help.

Rescuing a family of six comes with a lot of expenses, including food, puppy pads, vaccinations, deworming, routine veterinary care, and any unexpected medical needs that may arise. We want to make sure we have funds available if mama or any of the puppies need urgent veterinary attention.

Our immediate goal is to raise $500. This will give us a starting cushion to help cover their care and ensure we’re prepared for whatever comes next.

Every donation, no matter the size, makes a difference:
- $10 helps buy puppy pads
- $25 helps provide food
-$50+ helps offset veterinary costs
- Any amount helps us be ready for emergencies

If you’re unable to donate, sharing this post is another great way to help.

Thank you for helping us give this mama and her babies the care and safety they deserve.

You can also buy things off our wishlist. The biggest needs would be puppy pads, dry food, and wet food. But our biggest concern right now is funding and making sure we are set for an emergency. Please help!

If anyone can foster this mama dog and her 5 NEWBORN babies… we can save her🥺 she’s scared and her babies need a safe place to growww!! Commitment would be a minimum of 8 weeks.

Alternatively… if anyone is able to foster two chihuahuas (about 20lbs each) until 7/2 or 7/18… that would be extremely helpful! We have a foster that would be able to take this little pitty family in… but the place where they’d stay in her home is currently housing two ex-mama chihuahuas that are set up for transport/rescue transfer on either 7/2 or 7/18!

Message us if you can help🫶🏻

🚨 Foster Homes Needed 🚨

We have quite a few foster pleas that will be coming soon, and we want to be transparent about where we’re at as a rescue.

Please know that we truly cannot take in more dogs unless we have foster homes available. We receive messages every day about owner surrenders, found strays, and dogs needing placement. While we do occasionally take owner surrenders or stray dogs, our priority is helping dogs that are at risk of euthanasia, whether they have an active euthanasia deadline or are at high risk of receiving one.

Right now, one of our volunteers is housing several shelter dogs. Two of them are considered extremely at risk for euth… but are technically safe for now since they are in a temp placement. However… it is not feasible or fair to the foster human or the dogs for this to be a long term placement… 3 foster dogs all at once isn’t EASY😂 but this foster home is also a valuable set up to bring in more dogs for sleepovers and temp placement to learn about an at risk dog and adequately place in a “normal” foster or adoptive home. So it’s important we get these dogs moved to a foster or adopter! The 3rd is a dog we think our followers are absolutely going to fall in love with. We already adore him! While he may not be in immediate danger, bringing him into rescue frees up valuable kennel space, staff time, volunteer resources, and shelter attention that can then be directed toward other dogs who desperately need it.

‼️Please keep an eye out for the upcoming posts featuring these dogs.‼️

Most of the dogs we’ll be posting are adult dogs, and so far, all 3 dogs currently staying with our volunteer have been wonderful. They’ve been great with other dogs, have done well in their kennels, and are overall just really nice dogs. One is known to be excellent with cats, and we’re still learning more about the other two, but so far they seem promising around cats as well.

❤️ Fostering Saves Lives ❤️

The average foster commitment is about 3 months, though sometimes it’s shorter and sometimes it’s longer. We ask fosters to be prepared to love and care for their dog until they’re adopted, no matter how long that takes. We try very hard to avoid dogs bouncing from home to home. Stability helps them decompress, thrive, and ultimately transition more successfully into their forever homes.

What we provide:
- Veterinary care
- Food and supplies at a minimum
- Rescue support every step of the way
- Help coordinating transportation when needed for vet appointments, adoption events, meet and greets, and more

What we need from you:
- A safe home
- Love and patience
- A commitment to helping a dog succeed

The dogs pictured here are Starfire, Ruby, and Hoover. They are currently under the shelter’s care but are being fostered by one of our volunteers so we can learn more about them and help get them into foster homes, or even forever homes, through Pitties and Kitties Rescue.

When you foster through our rescue, you won’t be doing it alone. You’ll have a support system behind you to help both you and your foster dog succeed.

If you’ve ever considered fostering, now is the time. One open home can literally save a life!!!

Each dog will have individual posts. And these 3 are just a snippet into the several we are trying to network. Please share! Step up to foster! Thank you 🙂 if any of these 3 catch your eye… message us 😉

‼️🐶 ADOPT ME 🐶‼️

Kronk
Adult
XL Bully Mix
Neutered male, fully vetted
Approx. 75 lbs (50 of that being his head)

If you've ever wanted a dog with a giant blocky head, a goofy personality, and a heart full of love, Kronk is your guy! This lovable bully boy lives life with maximum enthusiasm and is always ready to show off his signature trick: shake! Named after the beloved character from The Emperor's New Groove, Kronk is every bit as charming, goofy, and lovable as his namesake. “Pull the lever, Kronk” is certainly what he thinks we are constantly saying… which is the only explanation to him handing everyone his paw. By everyone… even the air😂🫶🏻

🐶 Dogs: Dog friendly! Kronk is very relaxed around other dogs and enjoys having canine friends around. He especially loves a good wrestling session and has shown no issues with food, water, or toy sharing. A confident dog sibling could help him continue building confidence and show him that people in public spaces aren't scary… they're potential friends with treats! Buuuuuut… Kronk is incredibly fond of humans once he knows them sooo!

🐱 Cats: Cats are not ideal housemates for Kronk. He has a tendency to chase them and would be happiest in a cat-free home. He can be around them… but his behavior with them is inconsistent. He does better with sassy confident cats that will establish their sass for no reason and immediately… and generally the type of cats that would rather not have anything to do with the dawgs!

👶 Kids: Kronk will need patience and respect from kiddos, initially! Humans that come on too strong and too fast are very scary to him… so knowledgeable adults and kiddos are for the best if necessary. Once he KNOWS a human, he love love loves. It’s just the initial! Kronk can get a little mouthy when he's feeling playful and silly, and his enthusiasm combined with his size could accidentally knock over little ones.

Potty Trained: Yes!

Leash Skills: Walks well overall but can get excited when something interesting catches his attention. Need a lizard free yard? Kronk is your guy! Continued leash practice will help him become an even better walking buddy.

Crate Trained: Yes!

Intentional meetings with both kids and adults are necessary. Kronk can be a little shy when meeting new people and may feel nervous in public settings. The fastest way to win him over? Cheese or dried liver treats! Cheese. Oh gosh… cheese… we aren’t sure what Kronk loves more… cheese or humans… dunno. Once he realizes you're a friend, he'll happily become your shadow. He'll let you know when he's ready for pets by pawing at your leg, nudging you for attention, or sneaking in a few elbow licks.

Kronk has the cutest little underbite that will make you smile every time you see it. He's equal parts goofy comedian and loyal best friend. Just look at him... this boy is one big-headed, big-hearted bundle of joy! Kronk is ready to bring laughter, love, and plenty of personality to his forever home. We are really hoping to find this special guy his forever family soon. Filling out an application or scheduling a meet-and-greet does not obligate you to adopt. We believe in finding the right match for both our dogs and adopters, and we take a no-pressure approach.

‼️🐶 ADOPT ME 🐶‼️

Zuzu
6 months old
Blue Staffy Mix
Spayed female, fully vetted

Zuzu is a 6-month-old puppy with the sweetest heart, adorable floppy ears, and a (slowwww🐢) growing sense of confidence. When Zuzu first arrived in foster care, she was terrified of the world around her. Since then, she has made incredible progress and is starting to show her playful, affectionate personality. She loves treats, loves attention, and is learning that people can be pretty wonderful.

🐶 Dogs: Dog friendly! In fact, Zuzu would likely thrive with a confident, social dog in the home who can help show her the ropes and teach her that the world isn't such a scary place. She often looks to other dogs for reassurance and confidence, making a canine companion a huge bonus for this sweet girl. Bonus… but more like required. We may make an exception… but we believe Zuzu will need a confident doggy sibling in order to thrive.

🐱 Cats: Cat friendly! Zuzu has done well with cats and has shown that she can peacefully coexist with feline friends. As with any puppy, proper introductions and supervision are important while she continues learning good manners. She doesn’t live with cats but has met and stayed with them numerous times.

👶 Kids: Older, patient, respectful children would likely be the best fit for Zuzu. Loud noises, sudden movements, and lots of chaos can still be scary for her, so she'll do best with family members who understand that building confidence takes time and who will let her move at her own pace.

Like any puppy, Zuzu is still learning how to dog! She's working on house training and may have occasional accidents when she's nervous or adjusting to new surroundings. She sleeps quietly in her crate through the night and has also done great spending up to five hours in her crate during the day.

Zuzu is very food motivated, which makes training fun and rewarding. She loves treats, affection, and spending time with her people. She's also curious and playful, so you'll want to keep shoes and other treasures picked up unless you'd like them inspected by a puppy. 😉

Although Zuzu is improving every day, unfamiliar environments and new experiences can still feel overwhelming at times. When she gets nervous, she may retreat to a safe space, but with patience and reassurance she recovers quickly and continues building confidence.

Zuzu would benefit greatly from continued socialization, positive reinforcement, and basic puppy training. She is sweet, resilient, and ready for a patient, loving family that will help her continue to blossom into the confident dog she's meant to be. Watching her come out of her shell has been incredibly rewarding, and we know her future family will be lucky to experience that journey with her.

See more of her by checking out her foster humans !

‼️DONATIONS NEEDED‼️

$376.69/376.69 RAISED

Kitten season has been incredibly hard on us this year. We’ve faced some truly bizarre and heartbreaking cases of panleukopenia, a devastating disease that has hit our rescue hard both emotionally and financially.

Recently, we were able to purchase a whole bottle of Cerenia, an important medication that helps control the severe nausea and vomiting often seen in critically ill kittens. While we truly hope we don’t see any more panleukopenia cases, we also know that’s just not the reality of rescue. Having this medication on hand means we’ll be better prepared to help the next kittens that come through our doors needing urgent care.

We also want to give a huge shoutout to our amazing foster, Mica, for helping make this possible. Mica has cared for some of the most bizarre and medically challenging cases we’ve seen, yet continues to open her home to animals in need. It takes a special person to foster, let alone foster extremely vulnerable animals, and then go above and beyond by helping us access resources like this when they are desperately needed. We are so grateful for everything Mica does for our rescue and our animals! Pictured: her adorable foster that’s available for adoption named Bean! Bean is one of the recent bizarre panleuk cases that survived! Woot woot!

Because of this purchase, we currently have a veterinary bill balance of $376.69 that we need help covering. We cannot thank you all enough for the incredible support you’ve already shown. The food donations that have come in recently have been amazing. You all truly showed up for our kittens, and we are so grateful.

If you’re able to donate toward this balance, even a few dollars makes a difference. If you can’t donate, sharing this post helps tremendously.

Thank you for standing by us through another challenging kitten season and for helping us continue saying “yes” to the kittens who need us most.
