Today We Honor Deputy James McGrane

On this day, we remember the ultimate sacrifice made by Deputy Sheriff James McGrane, who was tragically killed in the line of duty during a traffic stop on Highway 337.

Deputy McGrane dedicated over 10 years of his life to protecting and serving—through his work with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office, New Mexico State Police, and U.S. Postal Inspection Service. His bravery, commitment, and service to our community will never be forgotten.

We honor his legacy and stand with his family, friends, and fellow officers in remembrance.

Gone but never forgotten.

Today is the day!!! Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gust of windy days shall halt these glorious runners from the completion of their mission.

Opening ceremony will be at 4491 Jaguar Dr, Santa Fe, NM at 6:30 with a shotgun start of the race at 7:00 am.

Come out and cheer on the runners along the course, we only ask that you do not impede them along their routes.

The finish line is located across the street from 400 Roma Ave NW, Albuquerque, NM. It will be open to the public at 3:00pm and we can expect the first teams to start crossing the finish line around 3:45-4:00pm.

Come out and support our vendors and sponsors at the finish line and cheer on your favorite team as they cross the finish line.

Race t-shirts will be available for purchase at the finish line for $30 all proceeds goes towards . Be sure to get there early as we have a limited quantity and expect them to sell out.

Thank you to the multiple agencies that have come together to support the race and honor the crew of Metro2: Undersheriff Larry Koren, Lieutenant Fred Beers, Deputy Michael Levison, and Rescue Specialist Captain Matthew King.

Thank you to the community, all our sponsors and vendors for supporting this race. Without you, we could not continue the memory of Metro 2.
