Meet Anna, one of our Marketing Chairs for !
Anna’s personal journey is deeply rooted in the complexities of her childhood. Growing up as a child of the military life, she learned to navigate through a landscape marked by generational abuse and trauma, including substance abuse within the family. While she learned to adapt and be strong, much of her youth was spent in survival mode – a state that compelled her to develop the unwavering determination to help others break free from such cycles.
This profound drive comes from her experience in Education, Sales and Marketing, Senior Living, and Real Estate – a journey driven by deep commitment to making an impact. From her early involvement with Big Brothers Big Sisters to one of her current roles as Outreach Coordinator/Facilitator for Breaking the Silence NM, Anna is committed to facilitating positive growth and transformation for other individuals. “My focus is on empowering women to uncover their potential and rewrite their narratives.”
Overcoming her own mental health challenges, including grief and depression after the unexpected loss of her daughter’s father in 2020, has further strengthened Anna’s resolve to destigmatize mental health and prioritize conversations, education, and support in our community.
In addition to non-profit roles, Anna is also engaged in real estate – a profession that resonates with her desire to help people. This fairly new direction holds special significance, allowing Anna to be more present with her daughter. Beyond professional pursuits, Anna finds solace in simpler joys, such as immersing herself in a good Podcast, car karaoke, caring for her rescue dog and cat, or finding tranquility through piano and yoga.
Anna is driven by determination to uplift fellow women. Through her personal journey and expertise gained, she understands how financial well-being and overall wellness are interconnected. This understanding fuels her dedication to wholeheartedly contribute to initiatives that believe in empowering others on their journey.
