Pope Leo XIV has asked for our prayers as he prepares to undergo surgery this week. Let us unite in prayer for a successful procedure and a swift recovery.

🙏 A CALL TO PRAYER FOR POPE LEO XIV 🙏

Today, at the conclusion of the Angelus in St. Peter’s Square, Pope Leo XIV shared that doctors had discovered a small, well-localized nodule in his lung at a very early stage and that he will undergo surgery in the coming days.

Several members of our Knights of Columbus Council were blessed to be in attendance at today’s Angelus and to share in this special moment with the Holy Father.

As Knights, we are called to stand together in faith, charity, and prayer. Today, we ask all members of our council, our parish family, and all the faithful to join us in lifting Pope Leo XIV up in prayer as he prepares for surgery.

🙏 Let us pray for:
- A successful surgery and a smooth recovery.
- Wisdom and guidance for his medical team.
- Strength, peace, and comfort for our Holy Father.
- Continued healing and good health so he may carry on his ministry shepherding the Church.

May Our Blessed Mother, under the title of Our Lady of Fatima, intercede for Pope Leo, and may the Holy Spirit strengthen him during this time.

Vivat Jesus!

Today we celebrate and honor all mothers - especially the incredible Catholic mothers who faithfully live out their vocation each and every day.

Thank you for the countless sacrifices that often go unseen, for the prayers whispered for your children, for the example of faith you set in your homes, and for the love and guidance you provide through every season of life. Your witness helps shape families, strengthen our communities, and build up the Church.

Whether you are raising young children, guiding grown children, serving as a spiritual mother to others, or carrying the memory of children in your heart, today we thank God for you.

May the Blessed Virgin Mary continue to guide and intercede for all mothers, giving them strength, peace, wisdom, and joy in their beautiful vocation.

Happy Mother’s Day to all our mothers. May God abundantly bless you today and always. ❤️

On this International Women’s Day, we reflect on the incredible women of Scripture whose faith, courage, and obedience helped shape salvation history.

From Rahab’s faith, Ruth’s loyalty, and Esther’s courage, to Deborah’s leadership, Hannah’s prayers, and Mary’s “yes” to God, these women came from every background, queens, widows, servants, and outsiders.

Yet each responded to God with trust, and through them lives were changed, nations were saved, and God’s plan unfolded.

Their witness reminds us that faith, courage, and obedience can change the course of history.

Today we give thanks for the women who continue to live that same faith.

Happy International Women’s Day. ✝️

This is one of the many reasons we were so grateful to gift a life-size replica of the Shroud of Turin to our church.

As science continues to study the Shroud with modern tools, it only deepens the sense of mystery and reverence surrounding it. The Shroud stands at the crossroads of faith, history, and science, inviting reflection not only on how the image was formed, but who it points to.

Our hope is that this replica becomes a place of prayer, contemplation, and renewed faith—drawing hearts closer to Christ and to the profound reality of His Passion and Resurrection.

✝️

Using high-resolution photographs and modern image-analysis techniques, a chemical engineer has reexamined the Shroud of Turin and concluded that its faint body image is best explained by a short, intense burst of radiation, rather than paint, scorching, or natural decay. The research, published in June 2025 in the International Journal of Archaeology, analyzed both visible-light and ultraviolet images and found that the image’s pixel intensity naturally encodes real three-dimensional depth information. This is the same effect first observed in 1976 when a NASA-developed image analyzer produced a lifelike relief of the body from the shroud’s data.

When the image data is mathematically processed, it forms a coherent height-relief map of a human body that exists only at the outermost surface of the linen fibers, penetrating just micrometers into the cloth. According to the paper, radiation is the only known mechanism capable of producing both the shroud’s grayscale image and its intrinsic 3D information without saturating the fabric. The study does not claim proof of a miracle and does not directly challenge the medieval carbon-dating results. Instead, it argues that whatever formed the image behaved like an energetic radiation event, and that direct testing of the cloth is now the only way to determine its exact nature.

If the image wasn’t painted, burned, or caused by slow decay, what kind of event could realistically leave a radiation-like imprint on linen 2,000 years ago?

“A Savior has been born for you: He is Christ the Lord.” (Luke 2:11)

Today, heaven touches earth. In the stillness of Bethlehem, God enters our world as a child, inviting us into hope, mercy, and a love that knows no end.

On this Christmas Day, we give thanks for the gift of Christ and for all the ways His light shines in our families, parishes, councils, and communities.

From the Knights of Columbus to you and your loved ones: May the peace and joy of the newborn King fill your heart and home this Christmas.
