Stepmom, ever feel this way? Do you wonder if it's because you're the stepparent?

As a stepmom of two (in their 20s), and an "ours mom" of 3, I can attest that this can be something any parent feels from time to time!

But, for a stepmom, the reassuring biological love between you and your stepkids just isn't there.

The relationship feels more fragile.

The rejection hurts, because sometimes it feels like no matter how hard you try, it doesn't seem to help.

And, then suddenly, things are good again, almost without explanation!

The love-hate roller coaster: It's a wild ride for sure.

Have you personally experienced this? Has it gotten to the point where you had to establish boundaries?

Or just ride the roller coaster and hope for the best?
