As a nonprofit 501(c)(3) we are delighted that 75% – 80% of our revenue is returned to the community each year through our Philanthropic Programs.

ALA Members represented Assistance League of Albuquerque at this year’s Juneteenth Celebration in Civic Plaza. They spoke with many visitors and handed out ALA literature. Among those visitors was Mayor Keller who stopped by to tell us how much his mother enjoyed working at Assistance League. U.S. Congressman Gabe Vasquez also dropped by. Among the vendors at this event was an ALA Thrift Shop customer selling jewelry. Also, a CNM employee visited our table to tell us how much they appreciated ALA’s support and the recent donation towards their student food program.

Assistance League of Albuquerque (ALA) member volunteers answered calls from the public with donations to the Shoes for Kids project. Online donations were taking place at the same time. Over $9000 was raised in a few short hours. Shoes for Kids has provided over 30,000 new athletic shoes to students in Title 1 high poverty schools. The Shoes for Kids project is a partnership between KRQE and Assistance League of Albuquerque. You can make a difference. Donate today.
