ENAA would like to recognize and congratulate Ms. Natalia Chavez for not only her many athletic accomplishments but also for being an outstanding representative of a Native Athlete in NCAA D-1 basketball. 🙌🏀

Today, she will be recognized by the game sponsor Tamaya Ventures at 1pm when the UNM Lobos take on the University of Arizona.

Come support her and the Lobos as they take on a formidable opponent. Her family, friends, and indigenous communities couldn't be more proud of her. ENAA invites you to come support her team and her personal recognition at the Pit.

Congratulations to Karson Glass who won the Tier 2 USA National Hockey Championship in Irvine, California! Karson scored a goal, got his nose bashed in & he and his team held on like crazy to defeat the Atlanta Fire 3-2. How many times at how many levels to finally win a USA National Hockey title is extra special and to win it at the 18U level is even extra special on so many levels. This is not an easy tournament to win and for the to win today was beyond incredible! Congrats to Karson an ENAA scholarship recipient. His Laguna, Ponca, & Cherokee families couldn't be more proud of him and his team!!

Congrats to my "niece" (ok granddaughter...but still...) and these wonderful athletes. I never been so excited about the future and what it holds for all of them. Natalia played so great. A few years back, she'd lay on my couch after school and I'd say "cant help but say it - you can score at will. That's great. But are you gonna be the one to lock up that baller on D, who is on one? Thats what i want to see when you are a senior. Two state titles later, she has grown into that D-1 baller who can do it all on both ends of the court, and Im looking forward to seeing her next year in Cherry & Silver. Congrats to Alysha & Curtis and even Sonny for raising a great lady. We lovvvvveeee our "hide and seek" champ. These athletes are inspiring. Evan is desperate to attend VVHS, he loved the roar of the crowd while these ladies won game after game. I can't imagine how much they influenced the next gen of ballers - even the other teams too from Kirtland Central to Laguna-Acoma to Santa Fe Indian School to even crazy ol' Bernalillo, these athletes filled the Pit with fans from all over the state - thousands!!. Im inspired!!!! I can't wait until next year to watch TT & Lilliana and the rest of Volcano to defend their two titles and I'm going to be right there again in the stands of my local public school supporting the Hawks all over again. This has been such a great ride for us and I am so excited that this ain't even close to being over!! Congrats to the Volcano Vista High School boys and girls undefeated state championship basketball teams as you may never know how much you've inspired us all.
