This past weekend the Academy boys were back in Phoenix, AZ to face Phoenix Rising for a match.

Going down 2-0, the boys pushed to the very end to earn a point on the road. Taren Wente made some crucial saves throughout the match to keep the team in the game. The first goal came from Winston Starr off some individual skill from Drew Sherrif. The tying goal was a great collective effort, assisted by Ivan Moore and smashed away by Jackson Dubois.

The boys are back at home this Sunday against AZ Arsenal for another crucial match.

Come out and support your Academy boys at First Financial Training Facility at Mesa Del Sol, as they look to continue to climb the table. They remain unbeaten in the first four matches of league play.

Celebrate Juneteenth with New Mexico United! ✊🏾⚽

Join us on June 12 from 5:30–7:00 PM at Dennis Chavez Park for a FREE evening of soccer, food, and community.

Youth ages 6–12 are invited to participate in a soccer clinic led by New Mexico United first team players and coaches. All skill levels are welcome!

✨ Free haircuts from Barberville beginning at 4:45 PM
🍽️ Dinner provided by NM Soul Shack and Nexus Brewing

Our Academy battled back to earn a hard-fought point at home.

After going down 2-0, the boys showed resilience to fight back and level the match—creating plenty of chances to even take the lead.

Kyle Hofmann got us started with a 🚀 from half field, and the equalizer came from a great team effort—Fabian Mata setting up Leonel Bencomo for his second goal in as many matches 👏

Next stop: Casa Grande, AZ as our boys take on Barca Academy in play.

Last night we had the honor of awarding a scholarship to Adriana Bustos, a graduating senior whose work stood out for its depth, voice and beauty.

This scholarship will support Adriana in her pursuit of a degree in pure mathematics—with the hope of eventually receiving a PhD.

We couldn’t be more excited for her💛🖤

Our Academy had their first league match over the weekend.

The boys fought and earned the first three points of the year. Connor Hanks had the first goal, assisted by Grady Gilchrist. Leonel Bencomo scored the second, assisted by McKay Rogers. Winston Starr scored the game winner, assisted by Eden Flores.

Our next match will be Saturday, May 2nd at Bernalillo Soccer Complex on Field 8 at 10 AM. Come out and support our New Mexican youth.

NMU Academy x UNLV

This weekend our faces , and it will be a special moment for four New Mexicans who once wore the black and yellow.

Andres Robles , Mikah Madrid , Yuto Oketani , and Nick Legendre will be taking on their hometown club — a club that played an important role in their development.

At the , one of our missions is to showcase the talent that exists in New Mexico through our pathway. These young men were key contributors with our U-23s and have each earned opportunities to train with the First Team along the way.

While they may be wearing different colors tomorrow, we remain incredibly proud of the path they continue to carve. Our commitment as a club is to support our players beyond their time in the Academy as they grow and take the next steps in their journeys.

Moments like this remind us that New Mexico is full of talent, and these players are helping lead the way for the next generation.

This week we had LEGEND visit our Academy training session.

It’s always a joy to welcome back individuals that have helped pave the way for our boys to believe in their own dreams. We are excited to continue to see our boys grow and earn opportunities in the first team in 2026.

March 15 is coming fast and we still need TOPSoccer Buddies.

Buddies are paired with athletes to ensure their safety and enjoyment. No soccer experience needed. Just show up, support your athlete, help them feel confident, and have some fun.

Practices are every Sunday for 6 weeks from 1-3pm at Kraemer Fields.
