COMMUNITY. SERVICE. WE KEEP GOING. 🖤💛

This past weekend, our New Mexico United Academy boys spent some time out at Los Ranchos de Las Golondrinas, helping families carry their pumpkins up the hill and lending a hand wherever they were needed.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to give back to our community and proud to see our young men continue to represent what our program is all about.
A special thank you to everyone who has donated toward our December trip to Florida. Your support means a lot to our players, families, and program. We’ll continue fundraising over the next couple of months as we work together to make this trip possible.

Be sure to look for our NM United Boosters booth this weekend! Stop by for a chance to win some unique prizes, meet our Academy players and families, and learn more about how you can support these young men.

And check out cory murchy, who helped design the T-shirt he’s wearing for a great cause. It’s individuals like Cory who remind us what makes New Mexico truly special—people who use their talents to support others and give back to their community.
Thank you to everyone who continues to believe in our players and this program.

WE KEEP GOING!

New Mexico United Academy RECAP ⚽️

After a strong few weeks to close out our USL Academy campaign, the boys continued to represent our New Mexico United Academy both on and off the field.

The following week, we teamed up with ImagineABQ and Keep Litter Out NM to host a kickabout with youth from Mesa Verde Park, let by our team Vice-President Clint Gray . It was a great opportunity for our players to take initiative, give back to their community, and help keep the spaces we share clean and welcoming. We are proud to see our players understand that being part of this program goes beyond the game.

This past weekend, we traveled to Colorado Springs to support our First Team. Traveling outside of Albuquerque provides our Academy players with a unique opportunity to experience the professional game in a different environment and continue learning from the First Team staff and players.

The following morning, the boys had the opportunity to test themselves on the same field against the Mountain Division Champions—a team we could potentially face in the USLA Playoffs. It was an excellent experience and an important part of our preparation as we continue to work toward December.

A special thank you to Switchbacks FC for hosting us and helping provide our players with another valuable competitive experience.

We also want to recognize Starr Brothers Brewing Co. Heather and John Starr, who stepped up to support our travel logistics, and Charlie Kaiser , who helped throughout the weekend. This program continues to be unique because of the people who believe in our players and contribute through their time, service, and financial support. We are incredibly grateful for each of you.

This upcoming weekend, we will continue our commitment to our community with another cleanup initiative. We invite our families, supporters, and community members to join us as we work together to keep our city and shared spaces beautiful.

We will also have upcoming opportunities for you to support our boys as we continue fundraising for the USLA Playoffs in the first week of December.

We Keep Going. 💛🖤

Our Academy continues its impressive unbeaten run, earning a third consecutive clean sheet with a hard-fought result on the road in Tucson, Arizona. 🖤💛

This trip was special for many reasons.

The night before the match, several of our players attended the match against Ventura County, where they had the opportunity to watch former Academy and U23 players and compete at the next level. Moments like these reinforce the pathway and possibilities available to our young players.

This match also marked the final appearance for with our group. We couldn’t be happier that he closed this chapter with another shutout. The growth, maturity, and commitment Taren has shown over the last few months have been tremendous. As an Academy contract player, he is a great example of what can be achieved through persistence, hard work, and dedication.

A special thank you goes to the families who helped make this trip possible. Heather Starr, Cristie Wente, Laura Orona, and Nancy Hofmann stepped up in a big way, providing invaluable logistical support and ensuring everything ran smoothly. We are grateful for your time, energy, and commitment to our players. The ultimate “momagers.” 🙌

As we head into a two-week break, the Academy sits atop the Cactus Division. We’re proud of what this group has accomplished so far, but the work continues.

For players hungry to represent the New Mexico United Academy, stay tuned. Exciting opportunities and announcements are on the horizon. 👀

This past weekend the Academy boys were back in Phoenix, AZ to face Phoenix Rising for a match.

Going down 2-0, the boys pushed to the very end to earn a point on the road. Taren Wente made some crucial saves throughout the match to keep the team in the game. The first goal came from Winston Starr off some individual skill from Drew Sherrif. The tying goal was a great collective effort, assisted by Ivan Moore and smashed away by Jackson Dubois.

The boys are back at home this Sunday against AZ Arsenal for another crucial match.

Come out and support your Academy boys at First Financial Training Facility at Mesa Del Sol, as they look to continue to climb the table. They remain unbeaten in the first four matches of league play.
