What an amazing community we live in!

Last Friday was Day on 9-25 where we asked the community to celebrate Dolly’s belief in providing books to children by donating to the Imagination Library 📚

We raised an incredible 💲3,121.75 - which is just over 50% of the funds needed annually to cover the cost of books for the 190 Monroe County children enrolled in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library 🥳

Thank you to all who supported via donations, to those who shared our posts, to our children and families enrolled, and to anyone who stopped by the library to check out some books.

Donations are accepted year-round at the library and enrollment for Monroe County residents birth through their 5th birthday is always open online ☺️

Today, we're celebrating the people who .

To everyone who has donated, volunteered, spread the word, partnered with us, or simply believes every child should have books of their own: thank you.

Because of you, 187 children in Monroe County receive a free book every month through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.

Your generosity helps bring the joy of reading into homes, spark imaginations, and create special moments between children and the people who love them.

Dolly often called her Local Imagination Library Partners the "true heroes" of her program. We're so grateful to have a community that continues that spirit of giving.

Thank you for helping us carry on Dolly's legacy by giving back to the children of Monroe County.

And Gibbs joined in the fun by donating today too 🐶

Thank you to everyone who has stopped by the bank or library. The library is open until 6:00 PM - or let us know if you’d like to Venmo.

You can also stop by Albia Dairy Bar or Snack Shack for their dessert specials that give back to library on this special Dolly Day.

What an amazing community we live in ❤️

Tomorrow is Day!

Her father’s inability to read and write inspired Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Dolly’s belief that books help children Dream More, Learn More, Care More, and Be More is felt here in Monroe County.

Since October of 2023, we have added over 5,000 books to Monroe County homes!

If you are a participant (or graduate), we’d love for you to share a favorite book received or memory from the program.

This is what it looks like to .

Right here in Monroe County, 187 children receive a free book every month through Dolly Parton's Imagination Library.
