Darlings! I'm FINALLY getting around to Depth of Field wrap for the website. In the next few weeks, a contributors page and 2017 event will be created. When you have a moment (and haven't done so already) will you please post images to the dropbox page. I'll keep you posted when the updates are complete. Were very excited about collaborating with Ashley Odom, owner of Feast and Merriment catering during day two of Depth of Field!! We'll be creating images of her gorgeous food for her new website!

Finding the time for a personal project while juggling freelance work and family isn't exactly easy. While the thought of spending precious free time lounging around Barton Springs is usually quite tempting it doesn't bring the satisfaction that learning and creating does. A friend called today interested in attending Depth of Field with the goal of sharpening her propping skills for a personal project. I love her devotion to her art and her constant interest in strengthening herself. That's exactly what we'll be doing, providing time and resources to learn and strengthen!!

Kendra Marable has perfected the Art of Dining. Thoughtfully combining her background in fine art with private catered events and her personal chef work. Attending a dinner party at the Marable’s is a well curated experience where art and music are as important as the food. Guests find themselves in a 150 year old, beautifully restored home where time and space play tricks on you. You could be in an avant-garde Parisian salon or a Mississippi juke joint. All the while, sipping on perfect craft cocktails and dining on beet, cashew cream, pickled rose and beet dusted soup. The conversation as sparkling as the champagne. Believe me, I know! Kendra has been one of my dearest friends and collaborators for over 15 years. It is with great enthusiasm that we welcome her to Depth of Field!

The William creek school was chosen as our location for Depth of Field based on the setting and history of the area. We want attendees to experience something special! This one room schoolhouse was built in 1897 and has been beautifully maintained! Next door is an amazing ice house and dance hall! What else do you need?

The Williams Creek School House was selected as the location for Depth of Field for several reasons. It has an exciting history and is located in a beautiful area of Texas. Every inch of the old building, both inside and out, is covered in perfectly aged materials that photograph so well. Aged wood, metal and stone. And, best part, it's in a ghost town. 👻
