Community helping hands is still closed due to no electricity in our building .. we have been working on getting the fuse box and breakers fixed with the help of Lauren’s plumbing and Aillent energy, they are working out their schedules so hopefully soon we will be able to again have families come into the building.. we will keep posting as soon as we know when we can reopen our food pantry.. ty fir understanding our situation. If anyone is in need of emergency food assistance we can schedule a pickup outside the building as my work schedule permits.. just call the phone number on our door.. Thsnk you Cheryl Abbas

Thank you Iowa Pork Producers for thinking about Community Helping hands.. we love and appreciate all you do . The Ehler family / pork producers presented our pantry with these coupon for free pork.. we could used them to buy pork and hand out or give the coupons out .. we are doing both.. I was able to give three coupon that same day as 3 family can in for food.. thank you again for all your support !!

This month Community Helping Hands of Albert City has been officially serving the area for 8 years!! I’m so honored to be apart of this ministry and so very greatful to our Volunteers who have given such precious valuable time to help serve others!!
We continue to serve this community and the surrounding area on Tuesdays and Thursdays our official hours on our website are 10am to 3pm sometime our volunteers have to leave early so if the sign says closed .. please call Cheryl Yartz-abbas my number is on the window and I can either come right up or have someone help you..
We are a food pantry and thrift center
Food is given out on an emergency need basis
Otherwise every 2 weeks a household can come and receive two bags plus a meat choice.. right now we have plenty food and can’t wait to see you ..

We have a desperate need for a gentleman who recently moved from out of state to our area.. if you have a bed / bedding Dishes etc… we are looking to pick up a donation for him … please contact Cheryl at 712 334-0482
