From 2–9 July 2026, the Fataberno IDP Camp Emergency Response Room implemented a project to repair wells, water tanks, and pumps across the camp, with support from the North Darfur Emergency Rooms Coordination Council (LCC-ND).
By restoring critical water infrastructure, the intervention helps improve access to safe and reliable water for displaced families while strengthening essential services within the camp.
Access to safe water is a vital part of community resilience, and local Emergency Response Rooms continue working to meet urgent needs despite ongoing challenges.

Here at Mutual Aid Sudan Coalition, we continue to watch the fallout from the June earthquakes in Venezuela, which—at last count—have killed more than 3,600 people.

Since the disaster, locally-led groups have stepped up to search for people trapped under rubble, deliver food and safe drinking water, and help local search and rescue teams secure the equipment they need to do their work, such as lighting and generators. These local groups will also be critical in helping communities get back on their feet in the coming weeks and months.

Mutual Aid Sudan Coalition stands in solidarity with these local responders, and Proximity2Humanity (P2H), one of the Coalition’s founding members, is proud to partner with Venezuelan group Alimenta la Solidaridad in support of its locally-led response efforts. Like the Emergency Response Rooms in Sudan, groups like Alimenta are closest to the communities, know their most urgent needs and what they prioritize, and how to navigate the complex operating environment.

Please consider donating to Alimenta la Solidaridad, either directly on its website or via the P2H website. 100% of proceeds will go directly to Alimenta la Solidaridad and the earthquake response.

On June 30, 2026, the Qadir Emergency Response Room launched the first phase of its shelter materials distribution project, reaching 139 newly displaced families.
After arriving with little more than what they could carry, many families were left without adequate shelter or essential supplies. This intervention provides critical shelter materials to help improve protection and support immediate needs.
Community-led responses continue to provide practical, life saving assistance for families rebuilding in the aftermath of displacement💙

The P2H Mutual Aid Sudan Coalition stands in solidarity with the people of Venezuela following the recent earthquakes.

We recognize the community networks, volunteers, and mutual aid initiatives supporting communities affected by the disaster. Though our contexts differ, we recognize the same commitment: neighbors caring for neighbors, communities organizing to meet urgent needs, and solidarity in action.

From Sudan to Venezuela, solidarity reminds us that no community should face hardship alone. We see you. We stand with you. 💙

The Kassab Camp Emergency Response Room has launched the first communal kitchen project at Shelter Center A, with support from the North Darfur Emergency Rooms Coordination Council.

The initiative provides daily meals for displaced families while strengthening community-led responses to urgent humanitarian needs within the camp.

In a context of ongoing displacement and limited resources, communal kitchens remain an important source of support, helping ensure families can access consistent meals and collective care💙

El Obeid is facing a growing threat as violence escalates across Kordofan.

Recent attacks, tightening military pressure, and worsening food shortages are placing civilians at severe risk. Humanitarian actors have warned that the situation in Kordofan could follow the same devastating pattern seen in El Fasher, where siege, mass displacement, and attacks on civilians led to catastrophic consequences.

El Obeid has become a place of refuge for many families displaced from surrounding areas. Any further escalation would put thousands of civilians, patients, aid workers, and community responders in immediate danger.

MASC calls for the urgent protection of civilians, safe humanitarian access, and the preservation of humanitarian space across El Obeid and wider Kordofan.

Civilians must not be trapped between hunger, siege, and violence. Humanitarian routes must remain open. Community responders must be protected as they continue to support people on the ground.

We stand with the people of El Obeid.

Community-led responses continue to provide critical support where it is needed most 💙

Here at MASC, we are saddened by the ongoing violence in Northern Ireland and stand in solidarity with all those experiencing the effects of hate and violence.

No one should feel unsafe in their home or community. There are organizations working to support victims of attacks and those afraid to leave their homes.

For those who are able, please consider supporting these community-led efforts:
