Thankful for this crew who is heading to Spring Arbor to serve residents today!! Today our community will be doing a fun hands on project…decorating pots and planting seeds! Service is a principle of recovery. We have to give our sobriety away to keep it. Today we are giving away our time, energy, hands & heart. Thank you Spring Arbor for letting our community come love on your community! 🤲🙏🌻

✨🚨Newest 90 Day Program Graduate! 📢✨

As we say good bye to August & welcome National Recovery Month we couldn’t wait to give a shoutout to our newest 90-Day Program graduate, Chesnea! 💜

Chesnea came into our 90 Day Program with a smile that was there… but it seemed only half-lit. A glimpse of the beautiful, infectious spirit we knew she had already inside of her! And somewhere along this journey, that light got brighter!!!

We watched her face hard days, overcome obstacles, grow in strength, and rediscover pieces of herself along the way. And today, that smile is shining bright as all get out. ✨

Her spirit is contagious. Her smile lights up a room. And when you’re around Chesnea, you can’t help but smile right along with her. She has such a sweet, genuine spirit, and it has been such a gift to watch her transformation unfold.

Chesnea,we are so incredibly proud of you. Your journey is a reminder that sometimes the light was never gone from us…it just needed the space, support, & courage to shine again!! 🥹🙌

Keep shining, girl!!! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way.

💜 International Overdose Awareness Day 💜

Last Thursday, community partners gathered together in downtown Albemarle for the annual End Overdose Awareness event at Central United Methodist Church. Coming together to remember those we’ve lost, support those in recovery, and bring awareness to the impact of overdose on individuals, families, and our community.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support, listen, share, and stand together! And a special thank you to all of this year’s incredible speakers for sharing their stories and helping to keep this important conversation going.

We were honored to have a table and participate in this meaningful day alongside so many people who are committed to ending overdose and creating hope.

This day is also especially meaningful as we remember Will Hudson, Allison’s brother, who Will’s Place was founded in memory of. We remember our mission. 💜🕯️

As we close out Overdose Awareness Month, we also look forward to September tomorrow, which is National Recovery Month…a time to celebrate recovery, continue to raise awareness, educate our community, and remind everyone that recovery is possible! 💜

Welcome, Caroline! 🎉

Help us give a BIG Will’s Place welcome to our newest team member, Caroline Snyder! 💙

Caroline started with us on Monday, and we have already been so excited to have her here. She jumped right in from day one and has been a tremendous help to our team this week. We are truly honored to have her serving in our community and are so grateful she chose to join the Will’s Place family!

And there’s even more to celebrate… Caroline turns the BIG 3-0 on Monday! 🥳🎂
