If your 7th-8th grade athlete wants to play fütbol this fall (or any other fall sport -- e.g. xcountry, volleyball), registration on Final Forms opens on Friday, July 31.

Heads-up Myers athletes: Plan ahead to play this fall!
Fall sports are: Cross-country, football, soccer, and volleyball.

1. Get a sports physical.
Sports sign-ups require a physical. If you can't get in with your physician, Whitney Young offers sports physicals at Albany High School - with an appointment -- July 21, 28, and 30. Call (518) 573-2556 to schedule your appointment.

2. Sign-up on final forms. Sign ups start next week (Monday, July 27 for football; Friday, July 31 for all other sports).

3. Show up to try out. Tryouts start AUGUST 27 for football, and AUGUST 31 for all other sports.

Attention families of students in grades 7-8! The fall sports season is coming soon, beginning with registration for modified football starting on Monday, July 27!

On tonight's agenda: elections (on bylaws & officers for 2026-2027) and a presentation by Principal Rivers and Emer Geraghty on Stephen and Harriet Myers Middle School students' performance on NWEA exams.

We're closing out the academic year with our PTSA member meeting Wednesday, June 10 at 5:30 PM, and it's a big one!
Please come to vote to update our bylaws and for officers to guide us for the 2026-2027 school year. Principal Wm. Rivers will be in attendance.

At 6:10, Emer Geraghty, Student Growth Testing Coordinator, will join us to provide an overview about what NWEA scores tell us about Myers' students academic growth over the past school year and how it compares to other middle schools in our district, nationally, and the general trends over the past few years. While NWEA is only one measure, of course, it is one that district and state leaders use to make decisions about the fate of our school, so worth hearing more about.
