Albany Law School Veterans' Rights Project

Albany Law School Veterans' Rights Project Each year we host a Veterans Law Day event centered around the Veterans Day holiday. This year we will be hosting the event in person at Albany Law School.

The Albany Law School Veterans' Rights Project is a student led group whose mission is to connect veterans with attorneys and organizations that can help them through any legal or benefits issues they may have. This event is meant to provide free legal services to veterans and active duty military personnel. This year's event will include:
(1) Free breakfast and lunch;
(2) 1-on-1 Limited-scope co

nsultations with an attorney;
(3) the opportunity to hear and ask questions in a town hall Q&A style;
(4) and tabling by various organizations. However, due to ongoing concerns with COVID-19 we will also be providing a remote option where attorneys and veterans may meet online via ZOOM. In order to attend the event in person, all guests on campus must show proof of vaccination to enter the building OR proof of a NEGATIVE COVID-19 test from within 48 hours. In order to maintain a safe environment, all guests are required to wear a mask at all times while in the building and social distancing will be enforced. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the building as well as other cleaning supplies to wipe down desks and chairs. Rooms will be sanitized regularly throughout the day in between consultations. In order to attend the event remotely, you must have access to a computer, tablet, or phone. Please let us know if you are in need of accommodations or assistance. We will ensure that everyone who is interested in participating in this event will have the ability to do so. UNFORTUNATELY, WE WILL NOT BE ACCEPTING WALK-INS THIS YEAR DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. We ask that if you would like to attend this event (either in person, or remote) you must register to do so at www.alumni.albanylaw.edu/veterans2021 or call (518)-445-2328. This page was created because you may be a veteran or military member, or you may know a veteran, whether it is a brother, sister, parent, grandparent, relative, or friend. We want to spread the word to you and anyone you may know who might benefit from this completely free event. Thank you for your service, and thank you for your support.
