Willamette Community Gardens

Willamette Community Gardens The Willamette Community Garden (WGC) was started in 2010 by two friends & Master Gardeners, who still oversee the garden today.

The garden consists of rented beds and beds grown for donation. Each year the WGC donates around $3,000 worth of produce. Beds inside the garden are rented annually for $35 on a first come, first serve basis. All gardeners help maintain the common areas, by weeding and laying bark chips in the garden aisles. The beds lining the external perimeter of the garden have fresh vegetables for members of

the public to enjoy throughout the year! We added a shelf for free fresh produce at the outer southwest corner of the garden for our neighbors to enjoy. We encourage folks interested in getting involved with the garden to stay updated on bed openings, events, and information via this page.

And more good things. We have a new garden shed and will be repairing the existing shed soon.

Companion planting is an efficient way to use space in the garden. Plant vegetables and flowers in mutually beneficial arrangements to protect your most prized plants from insects.
