As the federal government moves to buy out offshore wind leases, the legislation represents another effort in Congress to keep America’s offshore wind industry moving forward.

When temperatures rise, reliable electricity matters more than ever.

During one of the hottest stretches of the summer, South Fork Wind delivered nearly 10 GWh of locally produced electricity to Long Island from July 1–4, achieving a 74.7% capacity factor over the four-day period—and nearly **90% on July 2**, when electricity demand peaked. It's another example of how offshore wind can help strengthen grid reliability when New Yorkers need it most.
