Ali Louis Bourzgui is in the midst of a monumental run on Broadway, depicting David in the 12-time Tony award-winning show, The Lost Boys. Based on the 1987 cult classic film, Bourzgui has been with the production since the start. In his interview with our Amaris Ford, he talks about developing this character for the stage, as well as the pivotal role the Berkshires played in his upbringing. While a condensed version of this interview appeared in our June 2026 issue, you can now read the full conversation on our website.

From June 26–28, Mass MoCA in North Adams, MA will transform its grounds for Solid Sound Festival, curated by none other than Wilco and featuring an array of their side projects, one-off performances, living legends and up-and-comers. Both the lineup and experience are incredible, so we thought we’d take the opportunity to give it a proper spotlight. Today over on our website, we are launching “The Road to Solid Sound,” a series of interviews with artists up and down the bill, staggered throughout the month, taking us all the way to festival weekend. But first, Jonathan Patrizio chats with Alex Crothers, founder of revered Burlington, VT venue Higher Ground, and one of the folks responsible for bringing this festival to fruition. Check it out on the site now, and be sure to keep your eyes peeled for more fascinating interviews to come!
