Soon they'll each have a space of their own to stretch out, get comfortable, and drift off to sleep. That's something they'll appreciate every night.

But for now, it's hard not to smile at the joy of seeing them snuggled up together, celebrating a simple moment that neither of them will likely forget.

For some children, a bed isn’t just a place to sleep. It’s a message.

Because when neighbors come together to build a bed just for you, it’s more than wood and bedding — it’s hope, kindness, and a reminder that there are people cheering for you.

🎸🛻 HAPPY NATIONAL ROADIE DAY! 🛻🎸

Every great show has the people behind the curtain making the magic happen.
At SHP, our “roadies” may not be hauling guitars and amplifiers … but they are hauling mattresses, bedding, lumber, tools, delivery sheets, and enough coffee to power a small nation. ☕😄

While delivery teams and builds are what most people see, there’s a whole crew working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the wheels turning and the mission moving forward.

🎟️ The Volunteer Coordinators lining up helpers and drivers
📋 The Vetting Coordinators making sure families get connected with beds
🛏️ The Bedding Coordinators sorting mountains of sheets, blankets, comforters, and pillows
📣 Facebook Coordinator spreading the word so families, volunteers & supporters can find the mission
🔨 The Core Team Members handling warehouses, trailers, workshops, tools, pickups, planning, repairs, calls, texts, schedules, and the thousand little details nobody ever sees

Like concert roadies, they’re often the first ones in and the last ones out.
If something goes smoothly, it’s usually because they quietly made it happen long before anyone arrived. ❤

No spotlight.
No encore.
Just big hearts, tired backs, busy phones, and an unwavering commitment to making sure no kid sleeps on the floor in our town.

Today we celebrate the unsung heroes who keep this mission rolling week after week. ❤🚚🛏️
