Our mission is to redistribute gently used furniture and household items and provide healthy food boxes to families experiencing furniture poverty and food insecurities. Life is Better when a House is a Home program redistributes quality used furniture and household items to those in need through projects: BEDS for KIDS, Wildfire Furniture Releif Program, Veteran Welcome Home Kits, Feeding Our Fut

ure, and Furniture for Individuals in Crises. Our goal is to provide 1,900 beds to children, 350 dining tables and chairs to families, averaging out to be 1,050 individuals, and basic furniture and household items to 3,050 individuals. Additionally, we will divert 285 tons from the landfill an in-kind furniture and household donation valued at $855,000 which is passed on to families, children and individuals in need.

We still have opportunities for setup on Friday, August 28, plus several event-day positions on Saturday, August 29, including auction runners, a bartender with a valid OLCC permit, registration, food & beverage support, clean-up, and general event support.

Whether you can lend a hand for a few hours or stay for the whole shift, every volunteer makes a difference! Your time helps us put on a successful fundraiser that supports Furniture Share’s mission of providing furniture to families and veterans in our community.

Furniture Share is incredibly grateful to Altrusa International of Albany for choosing 10 of our kiddos to participate in their wonderful KidzShop program this year! 🎒👟👕✨

Through KidzShop, local children are given the opportunity to start the new school year with brand-new clothes, and shoes. Helping them walk into that first day of school feeling confident, included, excited, and ready to learn. ❤️

For families who are already working hard to make ends meet, back to school expenses can be overwhelming. Programs like KidzShop make such a meaningful difference for both the children and their families.

At Furniture Share, we know it takes a community working together to support our kids. A comfortable bed to sleep in, nutritious food, clothing that fits, and the supplies they need for school all play a part in helping a child thrive.
