✨ A historic and transformational milestone was celebrated at the ribbon cutting of the Legacy Wellness Center, the cornerstone of the Harlem Renaissance Project.
Albany Community Together is honored to have played a role in helping bring this vision to life. As our CEO shared during the ceremony, meaningful community transformation happens when organizations, institutions, and residents unite around a shared purpose.
The Legacy Wellness Center is a powerful example of what can be accomplished when vision, collaboration, and commitment come together.
For generations, the Harlem community has been rich with history, resilience, and promise. The opening of this facility represents another significant step toward a healthier, stronger, and more vibrant future.
This first phase of the Legacy Wellness Center encompasses 14,100 square feet dedicated to improving health outcomes and expanding access to care. The facility provides six essential services, including medical care, dental services, counseling, behavioral health support, wellness programming, and a genomics research lab.
With partners such as the Samaritan Clinic, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Mt. Zion CRC housed within this space, the Legacy Wellness Center stands as more than a building—it is a symbol of investment, opportunity, and hope for future generations.
The project also honors the pioneering Black medical and dental professionals whose vision, service, and sacrifice laid the foundation for this moment. Their legacy continues through the lives that will be impacted by this transformative investment.
