The Circle Keeps Growing. 💙

September reminded us that Loaves & Fishes is about so much more than what happens on a Saturday morning.

This month, we had the opportunity to share our ministry with people from across the Diocese at the Diocesan Convention. We began our new hosted coffee hours at St. St. Andrew's Episcopal Church Albany New York, creating another place to gather, talk and build relationships. And perhaps best of all, we welcomed many new volunteers into the Loaves & Fishes family.

Different people. Different places. Different ways of getting involved.

But they all lead back to the same thing: community.

Of course, while the circle was growing, the work continued. Week after week, volunteers prepared and served meals, filled Pantry Bags, distributed clothing and household necessities, and welcomed our guests with the dignity and kindness that are at the heart of this ministry.

Every new volunteer, every new connection and every new opportunity to tell our story makes that circle just a little wider.

And there's plenty of room for more. 💙

More people. More connections. One growing community.

Calling all young readers — the Reading Warriors launches this Saturday! 📚⚔️

Reading should be more than something kids have to do. It can be an adventure!

The Reading Warriors, one of the growing outreach programs at Loaves & Fishes, gives children a fun and encouraging place to build their reading skills and confidence through stories, songs, phonics, games and more — with a few prizes along the way!

There’s no long-term commitment. Come once or come every time you can. Best of all, it’s completely FREE!

A small but dedicated group was able to produce 422 meals and hand out 110 Pantry Bags. We missed some of our regulars who were in Greenwich for the Episcopal Diocese of Albany Convention. We still managed to have a great time with lots of laughs while serving our neighbors and providing for their families.
