The Center for Law and Justice is proud to introduce The Connector Guide, a resource designed to help individuals and families connect with essential services and supports throughout our community.

Whether you’re looking for housing assistance, food resources, healthcare, employment opportunities, legal assistance, educational programs, or other community services, The Connector Guide is a great place to start.

We know that finding help can sometimes feel overwhelming. Too often, resources are available, but knowing where to look or who to contact can be a challenge. We created this guide to help make that process easier by bringing important information together in one accessible resource.

At the Center for Law and Justice, we believe everyone deserves access to the information and resources they need to move forward. Sometimes, the first step toward making a difference is knowing where to turn.

We encourage community members, families, service providers, and community organizations to explore and share The Connector Guide with others who may benefit from it.

The NYS Department of Labor and the Governor's Office of the Chief Disability Officer welcomes you to attend the Disability Rights and Employment Awareness Month (DREAM) Career Fair and DREAM Symposium on October 14th in Albany!

Connect with local businesses and state agencies currently hiring! Take advantage of many services offered including resume review, assistive technology demonstrations, and more!

As we plan our upcoming housing panel focused on tenant rights and eviction, we want to make sure the discussion addresses the questions and concerns that are most relevant to our community.

Whether you have questions about understanding your rights as a tenant, the eviction process, housing discrimination, what to do when facing an eviction, or other housing-related concerns, we want to know what information would be most useful to you.

Your responses will be reviewed as we develop the panel and will help us determine which topics, questions, and resources should be included in the discussion.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

We are excited to share some very special news from the Center for Law and Justice family!

Our Executive Director, Ta-Sean C. Murdock, has been selected for induction into the City School District of Albany Hall of Fame – Class of 2026.

This recognition means a great deal to us because Ta-Sean is a proud former student of the City School District of Albany attending Giffen, Hackett and Albany High, and because he has spent much of his life giving back to the community that helped shape him.

From his early years as a student in Albany to his current role as Executive Director of the Center for Law and Justice, Ta-Sean has remained committed to serving others, creating opportunities, and advocating for justice and equity. His work has always centered on making sure people and communities have a voice, especially when navigating systems that can often feel difficult or inaccessible.

Over the years, Ta-Sean has worked alongside individuals and families, young people, community organizations, elected officials, and other partners to address issues impacting our community. Whether through advocacy, community engagement, youth work, or his leadership at CFLJ, he continues to believe that real change happens when we listen to people, work together, and invest in our communities.

For Ta-Sean, this recognition is also about something much bigger than an award.

“I hope this moment serves as a reminder that we cannot judge people, especially young people, by where they may have been or the mistakes they may have made in the past. People grow. People change. People deserve opportunities to become better versions of themselves. I have been blessed to have people who believed in me, gave me opportunities, and allowed me to continue moving forward. Everyone deserves that same chance. Everyone deserves a second chance", says Ta-Sean Murdock Executive Director of the Center for Law and Justice.

His induction into the Hall of Fame is not only a personal accomplishment. It is also a reminder of what can happen when young people are given the opportunity to learn, grow, lead, and find their purpose in serving others.

Interested community members can join us at the City School District of Albany Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on October 3, 2026 starting at 9:30 AM. The Ceremony will be held at Albany High School at 700 Washington Ave. Albany, NY.
