When a Community Comes Together, Extraordinary Things Happen.
At I Am Legacy PTCA, we believe lasting change is created through collaboration.
This year's Back to School Mega Distribution was not the work of one organization. It was the result of businesses, churches, nonprofits, volunteers, donors, and community leaders choosing to work together for one shared purpose: ensuring children and families in Southwest Georgia begin the school year with the support they deserve.
Together, we welcomed more than 2,500 children and their families through our on-site distribution.
Our impact didn't end there.
Through trusted community partnerships, essential supplies continued reaching families across the community, extending our outreach to well over 3,700 children throughout Albany and Southwest Georgia.
These results were made possible because organizations chose collaboration over competition and service over recognition.
We extend our sincere appreciation to our national partner, Baby2Baby, whose generosity continues to strengthen our ability to provide essential resources with dignity and compassion.
We are equally grateful to our outstanding community partners, including:
β’ Heart to Heart Tax Services β’ Shell Rapid L**e β’ South Georgia Smiles β’ People Helping People of Southwest Georgia, Inc. β’ Connect the Dots β’ Abundant Life Ministries β’ Dry Bones Collaborative Outreach β’ Open Arms Maternity Group Home β’ Paxen of Albany β’ The Lily Pad β’ Emmanuel Seventh-Day Adventist Church β’ Rhema International Ministries β’ Albany Police Department
We also recognize the countless volunteers, individual donors, business owners, faith leaders, and community advocates whose time, resources, and dedication made this effort possible.
Community impact is measured by more than numbers. It is measured by relationships, trust, and the willingness to work together when families need us most.
Every backpack distributed represented more than school supplies.
Every hygiene kit represented dignity.
Every diaper represented relief.
Every volunteer represented hope.
Every partnership represented a community choosing to invest in its children.
To every individual and organization that believed in this mission, thank you for trusting I Am Legacy PTCA to be a responsible steward of your generosity.
Your investment did more than support an event.
It strengthened families.
It encouraged parents.
It equipped children.
It demonstrated what is possible when a community unites around a common purpose.
As we look ahead, our commitment remains the same: to continue building strategic partnerships, expanding access to essential resources, and creating sustainable opportunities that strengthen children and families throughout Southwest Georgia.
This is only the beginning.
Together, we are building legacy.
With gratitude,
Evangela Childs
