An update on Measure G.

Our hearts are heavy following the sad loss of Dr. Frank Wells, our superintendent, who died unexpectedly on Monday. However, we are grateful for his foresight, the hard work of our committee, and the support of the community in the likely passage of this measure.

Thanks to everyone who donated to the campaign, spoke to friends and neighbors, hosted yard signs, canvassed, endorsed and, most importantly, voted yes.

Happy Election Day, Albany voters!

If you haven't already voted, please drop your ballot off by 8:00pm at one of the polling places (Veterans' Memorial Building, 1325 Portland Ave, or the Community Center, 1249 Marin Ave), or the drop box by the parking lot entrance of City Hall (1000 San Pablo Ave). You can also drop it in the mail, as long as it will be postmarked today.

We are grateful for Albany teachers, who were out again at the weekend canvassing for Measure G because they know how critical it is for our kids. Please join them, and many other Albany parents and community members, in voting Yes on G, and remember that we need a 2/3 majority for it to pass, so your vote really matters.

Thank you!
