USA Rugby is holding three (3) Level 1 Coaching Courses in New York this August.

August 16 - Niagara University, Niagara Falls, NY
August 24 - Iona University, Bronxville, NY
August 30 - Hamilton College, Clinton, NY

Remember that all coaches (including assistants) for Middle and High School teams must be certified Level 1 coaches.

To register, go to Rugby Xplorer and log into your account. Click on "Learning Center" and then your profile. This will direct you to the USA Rugby Training and Education page. Click on "Course Catalog" and then select the course you wish to attend. The course costs $125.

‭ The Rye Rugby Program is seeking a head coach for the upcoming 2026 season.‬

‭ The 10-year-old Rye Rugby program is a single school HS team with approximately 50‬
‭ returning players competing in the Met-NY League within RugbyNY. While usually‬
‭ supporting both an A and B side, we recently fielded a C-side Freshmen for the first‬
‭ time this past season. Scheduling and support for the upcoming season are already‬
‭ underway.‬

The Co-winners of the 2025 Kamil Patel Memorial Scholarship are Nico Rood of McQuaid Jesuit High School and Robert Felix of the Syracuse Silverbacks.



The Kamil Patel - Buffalo Rugby Memorial Scholarship is dedicated to honoring the memory of Kamil Patel. The scholarship was created in the spring of 2018 to assist high school rugby players who plan to continue their education in college while playing rugby. Scholarships of up to $2000 are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student's choice.
