NYSID Veterans' Resources & News NYSID supports job creation efforts for service veterans through our member agencies and assists other veterans' support programs.

NYSID has hosted quarterly Veterans' Summits since 2009, providing an in-person clearinghouse for individuals and organizations supporting veterans with disabilities in New York State. NYSID supports Battle Buddy Centers, which are safe havens for veterans to socialize with their fellow veterans and receive services they need. NYSID maintains a Veterans Contact Directory which lists veterans' serv

ice provider government agencies and not-for-profit organizations available in New York State counties. NYSID employs 204 veterans on Preferred Source contracts (as of September 30, 2016); of those, 153 are service-disabled veterans. In addition, NYSID is exploring partnerships with service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses; these collaborations would help our customers achieve their procurement goals while also employing New Yorkers with disabilities. We encourage you to join NYSID in expanding veterans' outreach, employment and business initiatives.
