The Woman's Club of Albany The WCA is one of the oldest not-for-profit community organizations in the Capital Region. Our membership is diverse in age, interest and profession.

We donate to local organizations serving the needs of women and children, volunteer, and offer opportunities for new social, professional and community connections Founded in 1910, the Woman’s Club of Albany (WCA) is one of the oldest not-for-profit community organizations in the Capital District. We are:

- a Community Organization, donating about $10,000 annually to local not-for-profits servin

g the needs of women and children,
- a Social Club, offering opportunities for women interested in making new social, professional and community connections, and
- a Rental Venue, making our distinctive historic house available to members and non-members alike. We invite you to attend our events or call us at 518.465.3626 to schedule a house tour.

📚 Women’s Club of Albany Writers’ Reading Group Update – Tuesday, May 12
If you are planning to join us on Tuesday for our scheduled meeting, please note the following changes!
Instead of meeting at the clubhouse, we will be attending a special event hosted by the New York State Writers Institute featuring local literary icon William Kennedy. This event is free and includes a reception and book signing with light refreshments.

We will meet at 6:30 PM inside the building, upstairs near the Recital Hall entrance.
We had originally planned to discuss George Saunders’s A Swim in a Pond in the Rain through “Afterthought #4” for “Master and Man.” Instead, we will discuss the entire book at our scheduled June 9th meeting.
We hope to see you Tuesday!
