Our June Staff Spotlight is Erin Waite!

Erin currently serves as our Bennington Center Director! She joined our team in September 2025, and has brought a heart for serving, encouraging, and loving the families who walk through our doors.

When asked about her favorite part of the ministry, Erin shared:
"I love loving the clients who don't have that family support."

One moment that has stayed with her was giving a client a Mother's Day basket.
"She just cried because she didn't have anything, and this was their only gift for Mother's Day."

Erin loves encouraging moms as they navigate the joys and challenges of motherhood, helping them know they are seen, valued, and supported.

When she's not at the center, you'll likely find Erin with a good book in hand or in the kitchen cooking!

We're so grateful for Erin's compassionate heart and the way she serves our clients every day. Join us in thanking her for the difference she makes in the lives of families in our community!

One question we hear often is: "How are you different from Planned Parenthood?"

The simplest answer is this:

We believe every woman deserves support, education, and compassionate counseling—no matter what she's facing.

When a woman comes through our doors, our goal isn't to rush her toward a decision. Instead, we provide a safe space to ask questions, process emotions, and receive accurate information about all of her pregnancy options.

Our support doesn't stop after a decision is made, either.

We offer ongoing resources, parenting education, material assistance, community connections, and encouragement for moms, dads, and families long after the initial appointment.

That's what makes our ministry so much more than a single appointment—it's a relationship of support that continues long after the conversation ends.

Prayer & Praise Update! 🤍
Thank you for continuing to stand with us in prayer. Your faithful support makes a difference not only in our ministry, but in the lives of the families we serve every day.

Prayer Requests:
→ For a precious baby who was born exposed to co***ne and fentanyl. The baby is now home, and we ask for prayers for strength, healing, and protection from any long-term effects as this little one continues to grow.
→ For the families in our community struggling with substance abuse. We have seen an increase in these situations recently, and we are asking God to bring healing, restoration, and hope to those affected. Pray that hearts would turn toward Him and that lives would be transformed.
→ For our staff and volunteers. Several members of our team are walking through personal hardships, including grief, family illness, and ongoing challenges. Please pray for comfort, renewed strength, wisdom, and God's peace to surround them.
→ For women facing difficult pregnancy decisions. Pray that they would encounter God's love, truth, and grace, and that they would know they are not alone.
→ For pregnancy resource centers across our nation. Pray for continued freedom to serve women, babies, and families with compassion, integrity, and Christ-centered care.

Praise Reports:
→ We are grateful for the meaningful connections being formed in our classes. Watching moms encourage one another, build friendships, and grow in confidence is a beautiful reminder of God's faithfulness.
→ We praise God for every opportunity to share hope, practical support, and the love of Christ with the families who walk through our doors.

Thank you for praying with us. We are continually reminded that God is at work—even in the midst of difficult circumstances—and we trust Him with every need.

Every day, women and families walk through our doors looking for support, stability, and someone who will simply show up for them.

Because of generous donors, we’re able to provide pregnancy support, parenting classes, material assistance, mentoring, and a safe place to be heard and cared for.

But the need continues — and you can be part of meeting it.

For the past five years, Julie and her husband have faithfully led our Tuesday night parenting classes — showing up week after week to pour into the lives of the families we serve.

Julie first connected with Alpha through a bottle drive at her church and through relationships with staff at our Albany location. After sitting down with Lisa to learn how they could get involved, Julie and Manny jumped in — and the rest is history.

When asked what she loves about volunteering, Julie shared:
"Oh boy! So much! I think any volunteer would give you the same answer: when people say ‘thank you for volunteering,’ it’s really a blessing to us. We get so much out of just coming alongside these women… We think we are coming to bring them information they can use, which we do, but we learn a lot too."

Outside of Alpha, Julie and her husband love spending time outdoors and traveling. They’re currently working their way through the Adirondack 46 High Peaks and have already conquered nine!

For anyone considering volunteering, Julie’s advice is simple: “Do it!”

We are so grateful for Julie and the steady, life-giving presence she brings to Alpha.
