Capital EAP

Capital EAP Capital EAP is a program of Family and Children's Service of the Capital Region, Inc. The hallmark of our motivation and philosophy is service, not profit.

Capital EAP offers confidential Employee Assistance Program services, including counseling, crisis intervention, and workplace support for organizations throughout the Capital Region. (FCSCR), the oldest not-for-profit family service agency in the United States. As such, our philosophy and entire infrastructure are built around what is best for our client companies and their employees. Capital EAP

is one of many comprehensive programs offered through FCSCR. Additional programs include: The Center for Problem Gambling, Samaritan Suicide Prevention Center, Albany Youth and Family Support, School Services to At-Risk Students, and a Family Counseling program. FCSCR also hosts and operates the call center for United Way 211 Northeast. Among the numerous benefits our EAP has to offer is the fact that we have the flexibility and accessibility of a local EAP with the resources and capability to provide services to employees and their dependent family members state-wide and throughout the U.S. Our well established affiliate network gives us access to recognized professionals anywhere in the country.

We’re proud to share that our parent agency, Family and Children’s Services of the Capital Region, has been selected as a nonprofit partner for the Hannaford Community Bag Program this January.

Through Capital EAP, we support employees and their families across the Capital Region with confidential counseling, crisis response, supervisory support, and everyday tools that help people navigate life’s challenges both at work and at home. Alongside this work, our sister program, Capital Counseling, provides accessible and affordable mental health services to individuals and families in our community, helping reduce barriers to care and expand access to support.

Together, our programs strengthen emotional wellbeing, respond during times of crisis, and help individuals and families remain connected to the supports they need.

For the entire month of January 2026, Family and Children’s Services of the Capital Region will receive a $1 donation for every $2.50 Hannaford Community Bag purchased at:

Hannaford
900 Central Avenue
Century II Mall, Albany, NY

Thank you for supporting your local nonprofit and helping us continue to serve individuals, families, and workplaces throughout the Capital Region. Thank you Hannaford Supermarkets for supporting the community & giving us this opportunity!

Capital EAP has been all over the Capital Region this week delivering goodies to the people who are always there for us in the moments we need them the most, our First Responders! Don’t forget to thank them when you see them for dedicating their time and safety to help us sleep comfortably at night. A special shout out to our members at E5 Support Services for the shout out!

Thank you to Capital EAP for the bag of goodies for our employees! We appreciate getting to work with you all and have such a great resource for mental health and wellness. ❤️
