Mr Turner’s generosity provided solid financial footing at the founding of Flint Riverkeeper with a matching challenge grant in 2008, and has underwritten our work nearly every year since. We are grateful for that. But we are even more grateful for the example he set for conservationists at all economic levels and for the profound difference he made for the future of this planet. Our heartfelt condolences go out to all of his family & friends. His memory is cherished by many.

As we enter what is possibly one of the most severe droughts in recent history, we are incredibly thankful for our partners at the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation. NFWF has awarded Flint Riverkeeper $781,792 to be utilized over the next four years to protect and restore flows in the Lower Flint. We have hired two additional staff to assist in this project and we are excited to get to work. More soon!
