~History~
The Italian American Community Center is a membership organization founded in 1971 by a group of local Italian-Americans with the intent of preserving their customs and traditions as well as establishing a social center to gather for relaxation and enjoyment with other like-minded people. Naturally much capital was needed to complete such a large undertaking, so a charter membership cam
paign was begun to solicit donations for a building fund. Many local Italian American contractors also donated their time and effort towards this project. The hard work and dedications of the hundreds of founding fathers had their dreams come to fruition in 1973 when the doors of the Community Center were open. A social organization was formed to help pay the bills with membership dues and form a core of Italian Americans to insure the preservation of customs and traditions of the Italian culture. The culinary traditions, a very important part of Italian heritage, necessitated that a restaurant and banquet facility be part of this organization. Thus was the beginning of the restaurant and banquet facility.

If you're Italian-American (or wish you were), explore the possibility of joining our fine club. Enjoy the camaraderie of other Italian Americans, volunteering for such activities as our Friday Nights at the Pavilion, the Columbus Day Grand Gala or other various activities that take place here.
