Historic Albany Foundation would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Town of Bethlehem, NY , for the outstanding job they accomplished in hosting their inaugural Repair Café! The turnout was remarkable; repair coaches skillfully tackled 85 items, with an impressive 73 of those being successfully repaired. This achievement is truly commendable!
The dedication demonstrated by the volunteer repair coaches is invaluable as they generously share their time and expertise for such a worthy initiative. The joy and gratitude expressed by community members upon seeing their beloved items restored cannot be overstated. From bicycles and crockpots to sewing machines and toys, these talented individuals are willing to attempt repairs on just about anything brought before them.
We would also like to take this opportunity to recognize the youngest-ever repair coach, Michael Jones! At just 11 years old, Michael showcased his remarkable skills through several impressive repairs. It was truly inspiring to witness his enthusiasm and engagement in this vital community effort!

Everything you do plays a crucial role in helping us sustain this vital mission. Today is Memorial Day. While we enjoy an extra day off and kick off our summer weekends, let’s take a moment to honor those who sacrificed their lives in service to the United States of America. We commemorate the brave souls who fought for our freedoms, the very rights enshrined in our Constitution, today is a day to remember the courageous men, women, and K9's who gave everything for us to live in liberty.
