As most of you know, following the passing of Randy this past April, we were forced to move forward with his mission and vision under a new name and organization. Many of the remaining board members, as well as volunteers, have joined to form Recreation 4 Veterans). Since that time we have kept you informed and updated on our progress through this page. As a result we have sacrificed our own page follower numbers as many have not followed us to the new page. This effects our overall social media presence and footprint that we are working to develop. A large footprint spreads the word of our accomplishments and goals and invites new followers and opportunities for the organization…..and in turn for our Veterans.

Once again, we invite you to join and follow us on our new page, website and Instagram pages, linked below, for events, updates, accomplishments, etc.. Beginning November 1, 2023, we will no long be cross posting updates on this page. While we honor, respect and appreciate the blueprint Randy laid out for us to follow, we can only make it happen and move forward by doing exactly that…..move forward. We hope to see you all there as we experience and share this growth.

Thanks for the memories, support and good times. You were a huge force and a great help to this organization over the years. Congrats!

That’s a wrap folks. Stupid blood clots in leg and lung kept me from finishing my career on a high note. A huge thank you to all my clients over the years and all my sponsors both past and present.
Had a great time sharing info and hope that many became better anglers from my seminars and reports. One last radio spot Saturday morning with Sep Hendrickson at 7:25 on 1140AM.
If you’re up in Oregon, book an extra seat and let me come along.

On behalf of the Board of Directors for Purple Heart Anglers, it is with a heavy heart that we announce that Randy Houston, the Founder and President of PHA passed away unexpectedly yesterday. Saying Randy will be missed is an understatement.

NorCal friends…..if you haven’t had the opportunities to see it, we have a break in the weather for the next 3 days.

The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall is now in Citrus Heights at Rusch Park through Sunday, April 2, 2023. The Wall is free and open 24 hours a day through Sunday at 2pm.
