Coach pitch is where things start to feel real… but still a little chaotic.
The kids aren’t just swinging at a tee anymore.
Now they’re watching the ball, waiting for the pitch, trying to time it just right.
And sometimes… they miss.
A lot.
You’ll see the frustration.
The deep breaths.
The “one more try” look in their eyes.
The coaches are right there, tossing pitch after pitch,
encouraging, clapping, reminding them to keep their head in it.
The field starts to make a little more sense now.
They know where to run (most of the time).
They’re starting to understand the game.
But it’s still not perfect.
There are overthrows.
Missed catches.
Moments where everything falls apart for a second.
And then…
they connect.
That one hit.
The crack of the bat.
The ball finally going where they want it to.
And you can see it all over their face
the confidence, the excitement, the “I did it.”
They run to first base like it’s the biggest moment of their life…
and honestly, to them, it is.
Coach pitch is where they start believing in themselves.
Where the game slows down just enough
for them to realize they’re capable.
And where you, standing on the sidelines,
realize this isn’t just about baseball anymore.
It’s about watching them grow
right in front of you.
