Your pain doesn’t have to become your identity.

1. God takes ashes and gives beauty.
2. He takes mourning and gives the oil of joy.
3. He takes heaviness and gives us a garment of praise.

He takes trauma and makes testimonies.
He takes rejection and gives belonging.

When oil is poured out on your head, it flows down. The oil doesn’t erase what happened, but it breaks the authority of what happened.

Praise anyway.
Praise is a weapon of warfare.

Jesus is the One who brings hope to the hopeless, freedom to the captive, and salvation to the lost. May we be faithful in pointing others to Him every day.
