Last night, the documentary All the Empty Rooms won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Short Film.

It is a heartbreaking and powerful reminder of the lives stolen by gun violence and the families left behind — families who wake up each day to an empty room that should still be filled with laughter, music, and dreams.

At Francesco’s Foundation, this reality is deeply personal. We honor the families who courageously share their stories and turn their grief into action to protect other children.

Congratulations to the filmmakers for bringing these voices to the world’s stage.

We will continue our work to pass Francesco’s Law and ensure that no more families have to live with empty rooms.
